Restoration companies in Oklahoma

12 companies listed · Last updated:

Which restoration companies in Oklahoma can we vouch for on evidence?

There's no ranked list for Oklahoma yet. Twelve companies are in an unranked table instead. The reason is coverage: what a company's website shows can carry it to 69%, and ranking starts at 70%. The last points need an outside record, and no open-data registry or license file is wired for Oklahoma yet. The bar stays where it is, so the table compares companies on what they document.

95 companies reviewed in Oklahoma, 12 met the listing bar, 0 of those scored here (evidence coverage of 70% or more).

Restoration Companies in Oklahoma Compared (2026)

Key Takeaways

  • All 12 listed Oklahoma companies document water damage, and 9 of 12 list storm work.
  • 9 of 12 name an industry standard, but only 2 of 12 describe a warranty.
  • No listed company shows a credential we could confirm ourselves, and none is a franchise location.
  • Roofers must hold a current registration with the Construction Industries Board. Search it before a storm crew touches your roof.

Out of 95 Oklahoma restoration companies we reviewed, 12 cleared the listing bar. That bar asks for a restoration service on the company's own site, a contact route that works, a readable location and agreement from a second source. The score uses the same fixed weights in every state. Coverage sits beside it and tells you how much of the score we were able to check. Items we couldn't check score zero, and we leave out star ratings and review counts entirely.

What the evidence shows

Built for storm season

Every one of the 12 Oklahoma companies on this list does water work. Storm damage appears on 9 of 12. Mold and fire and smoke each appear on 10 of 12. Sewage and biohazard cleanup is the weak spot at 4 of 12, so if a line backed up, filter for it before you call anyone.

Readiness claims run high. 11 of 12 say they're available 24/7, 11 of 12 help with insurance claims and 8 of 12 give free estimates.

Strong on standards, thin on promises

Oklahoma sites like to cite the rulebook. 9 of 12 name an industry standard, most often IICRC S500 for water or S520 for mold. We count that as the company's own claim, and it's a fair question on the first call: which standard, and how will you show me you followed it?

Promises are scarcer. 4 of 12 put a response time on the site, and just 2 of 12 describe a warranty. After a hailstorm, when every crew in town is booked, those two gaps matter more than a badge on a homepage.

What keeps these companies unranked

Median coverage on this list is 69%. That's the ceiling for evidence that comes from a website, and the ranking needs 70%. The difference is a third-party record, usually a business registry entry with a formation date. The Secretary of State runs a Business Entities Search, but it isn't wired into our checks, so no Oklahoma company can get past the line yet. We'd rather show an honest table than a ranking built on thinner evidence.

How to check a restoration company in Oklahoma

Oklahoma doesn't license general contracting at the state level. The Construction Industries Board still requires licenses or registrations for trade work that calls for them, and local rules can apply on top.

Roofing is where the state is specific. Roofing contractors register with the Board each year, and the Board's Roofing Registration Search shows whether a registration is current. Storm jobs often end on the roof, so run that search before anyone climbs a ladder. The same Act bars a roofer paid from your insurance claim from promising to cover your deductible, and an insurer can set aside the estimate of one who does.

Mold sits outside state oversight. The State Department of Health says it has no authority over mold complaints and that private companies do the remediation.

Lead is handled in state. The Department of Environmental Quality runs Oklahoma's Renovation, Repair and Painting program and certifies RRP firms for work in homes and child-occupied facilities that may have lead paint. For an older house, ask for that certification.

To confirm the business itself, use the Secretary of State's Business Entities Search. Each Oklahoma profile shows state license, IICRC and lead-safe checks as Not verified until we log them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Oklahoma license general contractors?

No. The Oklahoma Construction Industries Board says general contractors aren't currently required to hold a state license for general contracting. Trade work that needs a license or registration still needs one, and local rules may add requirements, so ask your city too.

My roof was damaged in a storm. What should I check?

Registration. Under the Roofing Contractor Registration Act, a roofing contractor has to register every year with the Construction Industries Board, and working as one without a current registration is unlawful unless the person is exempt. The Board's Roofing Registration Search lets you look up the company by name.

A roofer offered to cover my insurance deductible. Is that allowed?

No. A roofing contractor paid from a property insurance claim can't advertise or promise to pay all or part of your deductible. If one does, the insurer isn't required to consider that contractor's estimate.

Who handles mold problems in Oklahoma?

Private companies. The Oklahoma State Department of Health says it has no authority over mold complaints and that remediation is done by private firms, so the state health department won't inspect for you.
