No ranking yet. We list 27 Arizona restoration companies, and 8 of them sit on this page because they fall outside the Mesa and Tucson areas, which have their own tables. None can be ranked. A company's own website gets it to 69% coverage at the most, one point under the 70% bar, and we haven't wired in an open-data registry or license file for Arizona that could supply the rest. So the table compares evidence instead of ordering it.
161 companies reviewed in Arizona, 27 met the listing bar (8 of them outside the city pages), 0 of those scored here (evidence coverage of 70% or more).

7 of 8 companies on this page say they answer around the clock, so the 24/7 column barely separates anyone here. Water damage, mold and fire and smoke don't either: all 8 sites document them. What does separate them is sewage cleanup, on 7 of 8, and storm work, on 5 of 8.
Insurance claim help is stated by 6 of 8. Free estimates are offered by 5 of 8.
Speed is promised in general and rarely in numbers: 1 of 8 says how long a crew takes to arrive. Warranties barely appear, on 1 of 8. An industry standard such as IICRC S500 or S520 is named by 6 of 8, and we treat that as the company's own claim.
We found no third-party credential we could confirm for any of the 8, and none is a franchise location. Nothing here is borrowed from a national brand's page; each row reflects that company's own website.
The median coverage on this page is 69%. That's the most a website alone can supply, because the remaining items come from records held by someone else: a business registry entry, a formation date, a license file. Arizona has public searches for both, but neither is wired into our checks yet. Until one is, no Arizona company can clear the bar, however complete its site.
Arizona law requires most contractors to hold a license from the Registrar of Contractors. When we checked in September 2026, the Attorney General's storm scam warning said the ROC can confirm a license is valid and show you complaints filed against the contractor. The ROC's Contractor Search takes the 6-digit license number or the contractor's name and shows whether the license is current.
Small jobs get one narrow exemption. A.R.S. 32-1121 covers casual or minor work priced under $1,000, but not a job that needs a local building permit, is part of a larger operation, or has been broken into contracts under $1,000.
Watch the contract if the company knocked on your door. Arizona's home solicitation sale law says the written agreement must tell you that you may cancel before midnight of the third business day after the transaction. It covers sales the seller solicited at your home without an invitation or appointment.
For a house built before 1978, ask about lead. Arizona isn't one of the states the EPA has authorized to run its own Renovation, Repair and Painting program, so firms working here get RRP firm certification from the EPA directly. Demolition after a leak or a fire can disturb old paint.
The Arizona Corporation Commission's Business Search looks up corporations and LLCs. We haven't logged ROC, lead-safe or IICRC checks for any Arizona company, so profiles show them as Not verified.
Usually. The Arizona Attorney General says state law requires most contractors to be licensed through the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC), and that the ROC can confirm a license is valid and show complaints filed against it.
Only casual or minor work priced under $1,000, under A.R.S. 32-1121. The exemption doesn't apply when the job needs a local building permit, is part of a larger operation, or has been split into contracts under $1,000. A job big enough to need a permit doesn't qualify.
Sometimes. Under Arizona's home solicitation sale law, when a seller came to your home uninvited and without an appointment, the written agreement has to say you may cancel before midnight of the third business day after the deal. If you called the company yourself, that law may not cover the sale.
