These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of restorationindex.com and any subdomains or related properties (collectively the “Site”), operated by Pleiades Consultancy (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is greater), to use the Site. By using the Site you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Editorial nature of the Site

Restoration Index is an independent editorial publication that ranks and reviews restoration companies operating in the United States. Content is produced by the Restoration Index editorial team using AI-assisted synthesis of publicly available third-party data. Rankings reflect data captured on the indicated date and the scoring methodology in effect at the time of capture.

We do not accept payment, gifts, or other consideration in exchange for inclusion, ranking position, or favorable coverage. Pleiades Consultancy may offer separate paid services to firms (such as AI search optimization retainers); those commercial relationships do not affect a firm's MetaScore or ranking position on the Site.

3. License to access the Site

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Site for your personal, non-commercial reference. All other rights are reserved.

The Site cites and links to publicly available third-party sources, including the Better Business Bureau, Google Business Profile, the IICRC certified-firm directory, the EPA Lead-Safe registry, Yelp, Angi, HomeAdvisor, and regional award publications. We do not control those third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

7. Intellectual property

Editorial content, the MetaScore methodology, original analysis, and the Site design and code are © 2026 Restoration Index and Pleiades Consultancy. Firm names, logos, certifications, and other identifying information remain the property of their respective owners and are used here under fair use for editorial commentary and consumer information.

8. AI-generated content disclosure

Some content on the Site is generated or edited with the assistance of large language models. AI-assisted content can contain factual errors, omissions, or stale information. We do our best to verify against the cited public sources, but errors do occur. If you spot one, email [email protected] with the specific correction and a public source we can verify.

9. No professional advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes restoration, construction, engineering, legal, insurance, medical, or financial advice. If you have an active loss or emergency, contact a qualified restoration firm directly. If you have an insurance claim, contact your carrier. Always verify a firm's current credentials, insurance, licensing, and references before engaging them for work.

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS. We make no warranty that the Site will be error-free or that any defects will be corrected.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESTORATION INDEX, PLEIADES CONSULTANCY, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ANY DECISION YOU MAKE BASED ON THE CONTENT. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Restoration Index, Pleiades Consultancy, and their officers, employees, agents, and contributors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. You and we each waive the right to a jury trial.

15. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. For material changes we will post a notice on the homepage for a reasonable period. Continued use of the Site after the update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
